Oppo Watch 2 official with dual chipsets
The Oppo Watch 2 smartwatch has been revealed in China with a design that’s quite similar to that of the original model from last year.
Featuring a ‘hyperboloid 3D’ AMOLED display with curved edges on both 46mm and 42mm models, the Oppo Watch 2’s display refresh rate is capped at 60Hz. Oppo also claims that the strap is made of skin-friendly fluoroelastomer (s a fluorocarbon-based synthetic rubber).
With over 100 dials, this smartwatch can also generate new dials using its AI Outfit 2.0 watch face function.
The most interesting aspect of this smartwatch, however, is that it’s powered by two chipsets – Snapdragon Wear 4100 and an Apollo 4s co-processor by Ambiq.
That’s not all, it also utilizes two software – ColorOS Watch based on Android and RTOS. the smartwatch can automatically switch between the two operating systems based on usage and the Qualcomm SoC is only used while running an Android app.
Then, the Oppo Watch 2 also comes with all standard wearable features such as multiple sports modes, sleep tracking, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 monitoring, blood glucose level monitoring, et al.
The Oppo Watch price in China is set between CNY 1,299-1,999 (~Rs 14,800-23,000). We can expect it to launch in India with the next 2 months.
