Realme 9i launched in India
The Realme 9i was announced last week, and it was released in India today. It comes in two colours: Prism Black and Prism Blue, with two memory options: 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB for Rs 13,999 and Rs 15,999, respectively. Realme.com, Flipkart and select other partner businesses will begin selling this phone from January 22.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 680 SoC powers the Realme 9i, which ships with Realme UI 2.0, which is disappointingly based on Android 11. It sports a 6.6-inch FHD+ 90Hz LCD with a punch hole in the top-left corner for the 16MP selfie camera, which is covered by DragonTrail Pro glass.
The 9i has a camera system with 50MP main, 2MP macro, and 2MP depth units on the back panel, which sports a “Stereo Prism” design.
Stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone socket, and USB-C are among the other features of the Realme 9i.
The 9i also has a dedicated microSD card slot for up to 1TB of storage expansion, as well as Dynamic RAM Expansion (DRE), which enables you virtually boost the RAM by 3GB on the 4GB model and 5GB on the 6GB model. DRE, on the other hand, will not be accessible out of the box and will be added later via an OTA.
A 5,000 mAh battery with 33W Dart Charge capability powers the whole thing, claiming to charge from zero to 100 percent in 70 minutes.
If you wonder how the Realme 9i compares to a thousand other Realme phones available in the same price range, the simple answer is that we are not sure. The company loves dumping phones into the market, making it really hard to suggest one.
So, if you like the 9i for some reason, go ahead and buy one without comparing it to other phones from the brand because it would only add to your confusion.
