Samsung Exynos W920 5nm SoC announced for Galaxy Watch 4
The new Exynos W920 is built on a 5nm EUV process and it comes with two ARM Cortex-A55 cores and an ARM Mali-G68 GPU.
As per Samsung, this SoC brings a claimed 20% CPU improvement and a significant ten-fold graphics boost over the previous Exynos W9110 chip. Also, there’s a dedicated Cortex M55 co-processor specifically for the always-on display.
When it comes to connectivity, the Exynos W920 features a 4G LTE Cat.4 modem as well as a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) for sports tracking
Obviously, this chip supports the upcoming One UI Watch, which is Samsung’s custom skin for the upcoming completely revamped Wear OS which both Samsung and Google have worked collectively on.
The Galaxy Watch 4, along with the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Z Fold 3, will be revealed tomorrow, i.e., on August 11.
