Samsung Galaxy A50s, Galaxy A30s launched in India
To counter the intense rivalry from Chinese brands, Samsung has launched the new A50s and A30s mid-range smartphones in India.
Galaxy A50s
- Depending on the storage variant chosen, the Samsung A50s is priced at Rs 22,999-24,999 in India.
- The A50s comes with a new 48MP f/2.0 primary camera and a new 32MP f/2.0 front camera. It’s other two rear cameras – 8MP ultra-wide-angle and 5MP depth sensors – remain the same as those of the standard A50.
- There are also new colour options on this phone with a prism-effect rear design, something we are used to seeing on Realme phones.
- In all other aspects, the Samsung A50s is similar to the A50 that’s already on sale in India. So, there’s an Exynos 9610 SoC with 4GB/ 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The display also continues to be a 6.4-inch FHD+ AMOLED unit with an embedded optical fingerprint reader.
- Also, the battery capacity here is 4,000mAh with support for 15W fast charging coming as standard.
Galaxy A30s
- The new Samsung A30s is priced at Rs 16,999 for its only 4GB/ 64GB configuration.
- The updated to the A30s are most significant when compared to the A50s. First up, it gets a new 25MP f/1.7 primary camera along with a new 8MP ultra-wide-angle unit. This, in addition to a 5MP depth sensor, completes its triple rear camera setup.
- The fingerprint scanner on the Samsung A30s has now been moved under the display as well.
- Otherwise, it’s quite identical to the A30, meaning that it’s powered by an Exynos 7885 SoC, has a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED display, and a 4,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
