Samsung Galaxy F42 5G with 90Hz display launched in India
The new Samsung Galaxy F42 5G is the latest offering from the Korean company’s infamous parts recycle bin. It brings absolutely nothing new to the table and is only slightly different from similarly-priced M-series and A-series phones.
Samsung Galaxy F42 price in India
The basic 6GB + 128GB model of the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G costs Rs 20,999 in India. The phone is also available in an 8GB + 128GB variant for Rs 22,999. However, the phone is available at a discounted launch price of Rs 17,999 for the 6GB model and Rs 19,999 for the 8GB variant. There will be no-cost EMI alternatives available, as well as exchange incentives.
Both models are available in Matte Aqua or Matte Black. Starting on Sunday, October 3rd, the Samsung Galaxy F42 5G will be available in India through Flipkart, Samsung Online Store, and select retail stores.

It has a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a waterdrop-style notch, and, on the software side, it runs on Android 11 with One UI 3.1 on top.
The MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC powers the phone, which is not a very competitive chipset at this price point. It features a triple back camera system with a 64MP main sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor. Hyperlapse, Slow Motion, Food Mode, Night Mode, Panorama, and Pro Mode are among the modes supported by the main rear camera.

The Samsung Galaxy F42 5G has an 8MP selfie camera sensor on the front for selfies and video chats.
Samsung has included a 5,000mAh battery that supports 15W fast charging. 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone port are among the connectivity choices. An accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, magnetometer, and proximity sensor are among the sensors onboard.
There’s also a capacitive fingerprint sensor on the side of this phone. It also supports Dolby Atmos, which is claimed to provide an immersive sound experience with wired and Bluetooth headphones.
