Samsung Galaxy S22 series: Design leaks and rumours
The design of the Galaxy S20 series and the Galaxy S21 series differed significantly. Unfortunately, it appears like there will be no significant differences between the Galaxy S22 and Galaxy S22 Plus this year. The Galaxy S22 Ultra, on the other hand, may see significant alterations. here are all the leaks and rumours in one place.
Galaxy S22 Ultra design
The Galaxy S22 Ultra variant is the actual surprise of the Galaxy S22 range thus far. The phone is virtually a Galaxy Note device, according to leaked renderings and real-life pictures. It even includes a built-in S Pen slot. Some rumours even suggest that it will be called the Galaxy S22 Note, but that is less likely.
The phone’s entire look deviates significantly from the Galaxy S21 idea. It is boxy in form, with a flat top and bottom and ultra-curved sides. It appears to be the natural successor to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, rather than the Galaxy S21 Ultra.
In leaked photos, the phone’s quad-lens camera system is set up with three lenses on the left side and one on the right. Interestingly, the camera setup is embedded directly in the back panel instead of being inside an island. The phone will allegedly be available in Phantom Black, Phantom White, Phantom Green, and maybe Phantom Burgundy.
With dimensions of 63.2×77.9×8.9mm and a thickness of 10.5mm, the Galaxy S22 Ultra will allegedly rock a 6.8-inch display. The display will have a traditional hole-punch cutout for the selfie camera and not a Fold 3-like in-display unit.
Galaxy S22 & Galaxy S22 Plus design
Unlike the Galaxy S22 Ultra, the Galaxy S22 Plus looks to be based on the Galaxy S21 Plus’s design.
When compared to the S21 Plus, it appears that Samsung has shifted the volume controls lower down the phone’s side. Otherwise, the phone has a USB-C connector, a speaker grille, and a SIM tray at the bottom. The phone is also believed to be 157.4×75.8×7.6mm in size, with the camera hump adding 9.1mm to the thickness.

In terms of colours, Samsung may also be a little more daring this year. According to a September rumour, the Galaxy S22 and S22 Plus will be available in white, black, Rose Gold, and green hues, while a later leak revealed blue, grey, and beige designs are also on the way. According to another rumour, the S22 Plus may possibly receive a special purple colouring.
The Galaxy S22 Plus might offer a 6.55-inch FHD Plus AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,750 nits, according to a leak. It will also be 195g in weight.
Finally, it doesn’t appear like Samsung has any major modifications planned for the standard Samsung Galaxy S22 either. The leaked renders depict a phone that appears to be very identical to the Galaxy S21.
However, the new phone is said to be somewhat smaller. According to the source of the renderings, the measurements are 146×70.5×7.6mm. That’s a lot smaller than the Galaxy S21, which measures 151.7×71.2×7.9mm.
