Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e, Tab A 10.1 launched in India
Expanding its Android tablet portfolio, Samsung has launched two new Galaxy Tab models in India.
Galaxy Tab S5e
- The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e is a mid-range tablet which is priced at Rs 35,999 for the Wi-Fi only model, and Rs 39,999 for the Wi-Fi + LTE model.
- The Tab S5e has a 10.5-inch AMOLED screen of 16:10 aspect ratio and a screen to body ratio of 81.8 per cent. It has a 7,040mAh battery with fast charging support. It is claimed to give 14.5 hours of playback time on a single charge.
- Powering this device is a Snapdragon 670 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable internal storage. It has a 13MP rear and an 8MP front camera.
- For audio, the S5e has an AKG-tuned quad speaker system with Dolby Atmos 3D surround sound technology. This should make up for the lack of a headphone jack.
- To make productivity better, the device supports 20 windows operations on a single screen alongside drag & drop support to provide a notebook-like experience. DeX mode can also be used by connecting the Galaxy Tab S5e with its optional Book Cover Keyboard.
Galaxy Tab A 10.1
- The Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is a budget-friendly offering which is priced at Rs 14,999 for the Wi-Fi only model and Rs 19,999 for the Wi-Fi + LTE model.
- It has a 10.1-inch TFT display which is backed by a 6,150mAh battery which is rated for up to 13 hours of playback time.
- Powering the Tab A 10.1 is an Exynos 7904 SoC with just 2GB of RAM and 32GB of expandable internal storage. The device also has Kids Home mode which can be used by parents to regulate the content their kids consume.
- This model has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and unlike the more expensive Tab S5e, a headphone jack!
