2022 Skoda Kodiaq facelift launched in India
The Skoda Kodiaq facelift has been introduced in our market, with pricing ranging from Rs 34.99 lakh for the base Style trim to Rs 37.49 lakh for the top-spec L&K trim (ex-showroom, India). Bookings for this high-end SUV have already begun, with delivery expected to begin in the following days.
The Kodiaq returns to Skoda’s lineup nearly two years after it was discontinued in April 2020, as a result of Skoda’s decision to cease its diesel range during the BS6 transition.
The Kodiaq facelift is powered by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine that produces 190hp and 320Nm. This engine is mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission, and all models come standard with all-wheel drive. Skoda has axed the 150hp, 2.0-litre diesel engine from the pre-facelift model’s lineup entirely.
The redesigned and more upright grille, a higher bonnet, reworked headlights with new LED Daytime Running Lamp indicators, and a modified front bumper are among the alterations.
With the exception of the new alloy wheel design, the Kodiaq has remained unchanged in profile. The taillights and bumper have been somewhat revised in the back, while the remainder of the vehicle remains mostly the same.
The new Kodiaq facelift’s dashboard is comparable to the pre-facelift model in terms of fundamental layout and style. The most noticeable interior design modification is the addition of Skoda’s new two-spoke steering wheel, which is visible on all Skoda vehicles now. The Kodiaq is still available with three rows of seats, as it was previously.
In terms of equipment, the Kodiaq facelift adds several additional improvements over the previous generation. The most prominent of these new features is dynamic chassis control, which changes the damper strength dependent on the drive mode.
Heated and cooled front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless charging pad, and a 12-speaker Canton sound system are among the other new features.
An 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, ambient lighting, three-zone automatic temperature control, a panoramic sunroof, hands-free parking, front and rear parking sensors, and nine airbags are all included in the fully equipped standard.
