Skoda Kushaq launched in India
The much anticipated Skoda Kushaq has arrived in India at Rs 10.50-17.60 lakh (ex-showroom). It competes with the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Kia Seltos, Nissan Kicks, and MG Hector in India.

1.0-litre MT | Rs 10.50 lakh | Rs 12.80 lakh | Rs 14.60 lakh |
1.0-litre AT | – | Rs 14.20 lakh | Rs 15.80 lakh |

Completely designed and engineered for India, the Skoda Kushaq will be offered in 3 variants – Active, Ambition and Style. The base 1.0-litre engine will be offered in all variants while the 1.5-litre engine is limited to only the top variant.
Elaborating on the engines, the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol makes 115hp/178Nm and the 1.5-litre turbo-petrol produces 150hp/250Nm. A 6-speed manual gearbox comes standard across the range. The smaller petrol engine also gets a 6-speed torque converter auto gearbox option, while the bigger one offers a superior 7-speed DSG.
It is worth noting that no diesel engine is on offer on this SUV and there are no plans to offer one in the future either. The Volkswagen Group in India has steered away from diesel engines entirely.
Riding atop the made-for-India MQB-A0 IN platform, the Skoda Kushaq does offer a lot of kit as standard. Notable features on the Style variant include a 10-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, in-car WiFi, sunroof, wireless charger, and hill start assist.
