Skoda Slavia: 1.5 TSI prices revealed
The more powerful 1.5 TSI version of the Skoda Slavia is offered in a single, fully loaded Style trim. The manual Slavia 1.5 TSI costs Rs 16.19 lakh, while the automatic costs Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
Bookings for the Slavia 1.5 TSI have already begun, with deliveries expected to begin by the end of the month.
The biggest difference is that this version of the Slavia is equipped with a more powerful 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder TSI turbo-petrol engine that produces 150 horsepower and 250 Nm of peak torque. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed DCT automatic transmission.
There are no visual differences between the 1.0 TSI and the 1.5 TSI models, which kinda sucks since the latter is significant ~Rs 2.3 lakh dearer than the former’s Style variants! A little more differentiation, perhaps a sportier appearance, would have been a welcome addition.
As previously stated, the Skoda Slavia 1.5 TSI is exclusively available in the Style trim level. This means it includes a free-standing 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support, connected car tech, digital instrument cluster automatic climate control, ventilated front seats, leatherette upholstery, a wireless charger, rear AC vents, and a sunroof, among other features.
On the safety front, Skoda includes six airbags, ESC, an electronic differential system (EDS), and a tyre pressure monitor, among other safety equipment.
The Slavia 1.5 TSI is now the most powerful C-sedan on sale in India with no competition in sight. However, this will change soon as its mechanical twin – Volkswagen Virtus – will be unveiled soon and arrive in showrooms later this year.
