Sony WF-C500 Bluetooth earbuds launched in India
The new Sony WF-C500 truly wireless Bluetooth earbuds have been launched in India at Rs 5,990. Beginning Sunday (January 16), the earbuds will be available in Black, Green, Orange, and White at Sony retail locations including Sony Centre and Sony Exclusive, ShopatSC.com, major electronic retailers, and e-commerce websites.
The Sony WF-C500 TWS earbuds include 5.8mm drivers with a 20Hz–20,000Hz frequency response range. The earbuds use the firm’s patented Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE), which the company claims provides compelling audio and call quality out of the box. Sony has equipped the device with an IPX4-certified design that is resistant to water splashes.
These buds lack active noise cancellation (ANC) which is found on higher-end Sony models such as the WF-SP800N and WF-10000XM3.
As with other earbuds in its class, the Sony WF-C500 supports Google Assistant and Siri. Additionally, Android Fast Pair and Swift Pair are supported for seamless connecting with compatible devices.
The C500 features controls that allow users to play, pause, or skip music, as well as change the volume levels to their liking. Additionally, the earbuds include a Bluetooth chip that, according to the manufacturer, transmits sound to both left and right ears simultaneously and without latency.
Sony includes a cylindrical charging case with the WF-C500 that fits comfortably in a pocket or purse. Additionally, the case boasts a translucent cover with a frosted glass look on top.
The earphones are supposed to last up to 10 hours on a single charge. The charging case retains enough power to provide another full charge, extending the battery’s overall life to up to 20 hours. With a 10-minute rapid charge, the charging case gives a claimed 1 hour of playtime.
