Tata Xpres-T EV revealed
The erstwhile Tigor EV has gotten a new look as well as a brand new name. Say hello to the Tata Xpres-T. Its bookings are now open and prices are expected to be revealed soon.
Aimed at fleet buyers, the weirdly named Tata Xpres-T will be sold with two battery pack options – 16.5kWh (standard model) and 21.5kWh (extended range model). The latter has a claimed ARAI-certified range of 213km and the former has a range of 165km – up from Tigor EV’s 143km.
Charging this all-electric compact sedan from 0-80 percent can be done in 90 minutes and 110 minutes for the standard and extended range battery packs, respectively. However, these figures are achieved with the optional fast charger.
Powered by a 70V three-phase induction motor, the Xpres-T generates 30kW (approx. 41hp) and 105Nm of torque.
‘Xpres’ is Tata’s new EV lineup aimed at fleet operators. Expect to see more models to be launched soon under this sub-brand.
