Tecno Camon 18 Premier official with gimbal camera
After Vivo, it is the lesser-known Chinese mobile brand Tecno that has brought gimbal stabilisation to its cameras system via the new Tecno Camon 18 Premier Android phone.

A 64MP main sensor, a gimbal-stabilised 12MP, and an 8MP periscope zoom lens with 60x Hyper Zoom capability headline the Camon 18 Premier’s triple rear camera system. It also features a Moon Probe function that captures pictures of the Moon using the Galileo algorithm. It also has a 32MP selfie camera.
The Android 11-based Hi OS 8.0 operates on the dual-SIM Camon 18 Premier. It has a 6.7-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 550 nits and a refresh rate of 120Hz. Under the hood, it has the recently announced MediaTek Helio G96 SoC, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
It has 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, a USB Type-C connector, and a 3.5mm headphone jack for connectivity. It also has a fingerprint sensor on the side.
The phone has a 4,750mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. The smartphone, according to Tecno, can be charged up to 64 percent in under 30 minutes. The phone’s back panel is made of AGC glass.
Tecno Camon 18 price
There is no word on the price or its launch in India as of now. However, Tecno has been expanding its reach quite rapidly in the country so we do expect this smartphone to launch here. Obviously, a gimbal camera system at an affordable price will lure a lot of customers.
