Tecno Camon 18 with 48MP selfie camera launched in India
The Tecno Camon 18 has been launched in India, expanding the company’s inexpensive smartphone lineup in the country.
In India, the Tecno Camon 18 costs Rs 14,999 and comes in a single 4GB + 128GB RAM and storage configuration. With every Tecno Camon 18 purchase, Tecno is also including its Buds 2 true wireless headphones.
Dusk Grey and Iris Purple are the two colours available for the smartphone. According to the company, the smartphone will be available on December 27 through online and retail channels.
The Tecno Camon 18 dual-SIM phone runs Android 11 with the company’s HiOS 8 layer on top. The smartphone features a 48MP hole-punch selfie camera and a 6.8-inch full HD+ (1,080×2,460 pixels) screen with 396 ppi and a maximum brightness of 500 nits.
The Camon 18 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 octa-core processor with 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 128GB of storage. Tecno also allows you to use unused storage to “extend” the built-in memory up to 7GB.
A 48MP primary sensor with an f/1.79 aperture, a 2MP depth sensor, and an AI lens, as well as dual flash, are included in the Camon 18’s triple rear camera configuration. With the company’s “TAIVOS” technology, the smartphone also has 2K video recording and a low-light photography option.
Slow-motion, night video mode, video bokeh, and other modes are also available. According to Tecno, this smartphone is packed with a 5,000mAh battery that supports 18W charging.
