Top 5 smartphones under Rs 20,000 (November 2019)
The 64MP quad-camera game is getting strong in the sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone segment. Not just that, the batteries of these phones are also getting bigger and their chipsets getting more and more powerful! Here are Dynamic District’s top 5 picks from this month.
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
The Redmi Note 8 Pro is definitely the current value-for-money champion of smartphones. It’s powered by the gaming-focused Helio G90T SoC which provides smooth and efficient PUBG playing experience. Then, it has quad rear cameras which include a 64MP primary shooter that’s capable of taking excellent photos and videos. If that’s not all, the Note 8 Pro also houses a large 4,500mAh battery which provides great backup.
Price range: Rs 14,999-17,999
- Realme XT
The Realme XT remains the Note 8 Pro’s fiercest rival because it also boasts of a 64MP quad rear camera setup. As a plus, the XT also comes with an AMOLED screen as well as an in-display fingerprint scanner, both of which the Note 8 Pro lacks. Powering the XT is a Snapdragon 712 SoC, definitely not as powerful as Helio G90T, but still quite powerful for the price nonetheless.
Price range: 15,999-18,999
- Realme 5 Pro
Another winner from Realme. The Realme 5 Pro features a 48MP quad rear camera setup which takes good photographs. In general, the 5 Pro is quite similar to the XT, but you miss out on a 64MP main camera, AMOLED display and an in-display fingerprint scanner. But if you want a Realme device, and your budget is limited, then this phone is a strong contender.
Price range: 14,999-16,999
- Vivo Z1 Pro
After a recent price drop, the Vivo Z1 Pro makes for a strong value-for-money option. This phone has a lot going for it – a massive 5,000mAh battery (no fast charging here), hole punch display for you notch haters, capable triple rear cameras, and the generally capable Snapdragon 712 SoC.
Price range: Rs 13,990-15,990
- Samsung Galaxy M30s
The Samsung M30s is for those who prioritise battery life and brand value over everything else. First up, it has got a gigantic 6,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging which easily lasts you two full days on medium-to-heavy usage. Then, there is that Samsung branding – something that a lot of people value. Finally, the phone’s 6.4-inch AMOLED screen is super vivid as well. However, with its underwhelming Exynos 9611 SoC, the M30s is definitely not suitable for gaming.
