Top 5 smartphones under Rs 20,000 (September 2019)
The sub-Rs 20,000 smartphone space in India has seen a lot of action going on of late. With intense competition from emerging Chiese brands, we’ve seen innovative new phone coming out in this price range. Here are Dynamic District’s top 5 picks from this segment for the month of September 2019.
- Realme XT
The new Realme XT is India’s first phone with a 64MP primary camera, which means that it clicks some pretty high-resolution shots. That’s not all, you also get an ultra-wide-angle camera and a macro camera which makes the photography experience a lot more versatile. Capable cameras, coupled with other good stuff like Snapdragon 712 SoC, 6.4-inch AMOLED screen, 20W fast charging, etc. ensure that the Realme XT is one hell of a deal for under Rs 20,000.
Price range: Rs 15,999-18,999
- Realme 5 Pro
In order to beat Xiaomi, Realme is launching phones at a rapid rate. The Realme 5 Pro, which was launched only a few days before the XT, shares most of the latter’s equipment. However, instead of the 64MP main camera, you get a 48MP one, which is still great nonetheless. Then, it does not have an AMOLED display or an in-display fingerprint scanner either, but at this price, you cannot complain much.
Price range: Rs 14,999-16,999
- Vivo Z1x
The recently-launched Z1x comes with a 6.38-inch AMOLED display with an embedded fingerprint scanner. It also takes photography seriously with a 48MP primary rear camera, 8MP ultra-wide-angle rear camera, and a 32MP selfie shooter. The chipset here is, yet again, the Snapdragon 712. This combined with a big 4,500mAh battery and super-fast 22.5W charging makes the Vivo Z1x worth a consideration.
Price range: Rs 16,990-18,990
- Vivo Z1 Pro
The Vivo Z1 Pro is a lot similar to the above 3 phones in this list. However, if you dislike notches, then you must consider this phone because it has a hole-punch cutout in its display instead. The SoC is still Snapdragon 712, and while there are 3 rear cameras, it gets a 16MP main sensor instead of the 48MP on Z1x. However, if battery life is high on your priority list, then the Z1 Pro will keep you happy with its gigantic 5,000mAh cell!
Price range: Rs 14,990-17,990
- Xiaomi Poco F1
A bit outdated it might be, but the Poco F1 packs something that others cannot quite match – Snapdragon 845 SoC! So, if you play a lot of PUBG or any other graphics-intensive game for that matter, then 845’s raw power will ensure you fantastic gameplay! The Poco F1 also has a decent 4,000mAh battery, a plus for heavy gamers.
Price range: Rs 17,999-22,999
