Vivo’s iQOO could launch as an independent brand in India
- Just like Realme – and most recently Poco – separated from their parent brands for a stronger market share in India, Vivo’s iQOO, which is a sub-brand of gaming phones, could launch independently in India soon.
- A new media reports suggest that iQOO, which is currently China-exclusive, can go official in India as early as March 2020. It will operate as an entirely separate entity from the Vivo brand.
- Interestingly, if this turns out to be true, the iQOO will be the fifth brand in India from China-based BBK electronics, which already owns OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo and Realme.
- The iQOO lineup in China includes 5 smartphones and at this point, there are no details on which model will debut this new brand in India.
