Xiaomi 11T Pro confirmed to get 120W fast charging
HyperCharge, as Xiaomi calls it, was believed to be supported by the upcoming Xiaomi 11T Pro. With a Twitter teaser that confirms its September 15 launch event, the company has officially verified the tech in question.
With 120W of power, HyperCharge is more than double the original Mi 11’s maximum charge rate of 67W. There is no change in the battery capacity, which is likely to stay at 5,000mAh. We haven’t heard anything from Xiaomi on a wireless charging solution for the 11T Pro as of now.
The Xiaomi 11T Pro is mentioned directly in the tweet, thus the standard Xiaomi 11T is unlikely to receive 120W HyperCharge. Anyhow, the Mi 11 is capable of charging at 55W through a wire and 50W wirelessly, which is not slow at all.
In any case, Xiaomi utilised the 120W charging tech on last year’s Mi 10 Ultra, but not this year’s Mi 11 Ultra. The Mix 4 also comes with the same tech.
Xiaomi 11T Pro and 11T specifications
The Xiaomi 11T Pro, like the Mi 11 Pro, will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 processor, according to unverified sources. The standard 11T, on the other hand, is anticipated to use a MediaTek Dimensity processor. Like their predecessors, both should have 120Hz screens.
Interestingly, Xiaomi is dropping the popular ‘Mi’ branding from its high-end phones. So, it’s Xioami 11T series now, not Mi 11T.
