Yamaha Fascino 125 Hybrid launched in India
The new 2021 Yamaha Fascino Hybrid has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom).
Let’s address that ‘Hybrid’ suffix first. It incorporates a starter motor to supply power to the crankshaft when starting from a stop or under sudden acceleration. Practical application of this includes taking off from a standstill or when going on an incline.
The assist function will automatically be switched off in three scenarios – after three seconds, or after a predetermined RPM is crossed, or if the throttle is closed.
The engine on the Fascino Hybrid remains the same as before. It is a 125cc, single-cylinder unit that generates 8bhp at 6,500rpm and 10.3Nm at 5,000rpm, with the latter being 0.5Nm more than before.
With this update, the Yamaha Fascino Hybrid also gains LED headlamps, LED tail lamps and a digital display with Yamaha Motorcycle Connect X app compatibility.
