Yamaha R15M spied, gets R7-inspired design
The Yamaha R15M has been leaked completely undisguised in its production-ready avatar. Earlier, this bike was spotted testing wearing camouflage and many believed that it is the R15 V4, however, that’s not the case.
Generally, the ‘M’ suffix on a Yamaha bike reminds us of the R1M, the track-honed version of the legendary supersport machine. However, the R15M will continue to be powered by a measly 155cc motor that is projected to make 18.35PS of power.
With that disappointment out of the way, what’s cool about the upcoming Yamaha R15M is its redesigned fairing which is heavily inspired by the new R7. It now gets a central projector as well as redesigned DRLs.
Another welcome addition that’s seen in this spy image is those gold coloured USD front forks. The international R15 already has USD forks if you didn’t know.
You’ll also see an overdose of Monster Energy stickers here. We’ve already seen these on the special editions of the FZ25 and MT-15.
Expect the Yamaha R15M to cost well over Rs 1.60 lakh when it is launched in India.
